Template library

What it is
A template library is a set of ready-made starting points. In a proposal tool such as Proposify or Qwilr it holds finished proposal layouts. In Process Street it holds checklists for common routines like onboarding. In Google Docs or Confluence it holds documents and meeting notes. You pick one, change the details and use it.
Why it matters
Starting from a blank page is slow, and every person ends up doing it differently. Templates save time and keep the quality and look consistent. They matter most for work you repeat, such as quotes, onboarding or reports, and for new users who do not yet know what good looks like. They matter less if your work is unusual, or if you already have your own documents and only need somewhere to store them.
What to check
- Are the templates relevant to your industry, or only generic examples?
- Can you save your own documents as templates for the whole team?
- Can you edit the vendor's templates freely, or are some locked?
- Is the library included in your plan, or are some templates paid extras?
