Calendar sync
Sync events with the calendars you already use, such as Google, Outlook or Apple, in both directions.

What it is
Calendar sync links the tool to your existing calendars so events and availability stay consistent. The vendor should say which calendars it works with, whether the sync runs one way or both ways, and how many calendars you can connect. For example, a booking tool reads your Google and Outlook calendars to see when you are busy and writes new meetings back to one of them.
Why it matters
Without sync, you have to enter meetings twice, and mistakes lead to double bookings. If you use more than one calendar, such as work and personal, sync matters even more. A weak connection that updates slowly is nearly as bad as none.
What to check
- Which calendar services are supported, and is the sync one-way or two-way?
- How quickly do changes appear, and does it work with several calendars at once?
- Does it read only free or busy times, or does it also see event details?
- What happens when a connection breaks, and will you be told?
