Monitor how your brand appears in AI search and serve optimised pages to AI crawlers.

Why Scrunch AI

Scrunch AI monitors how your brand appears in AI-generated answers across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity, tracking visibility and competitor rankings. It suits brands and agencies that need to measure and improve how often they show up in AI answers. Its Agent Experience Platform serves a machine-readable version of your site to AI agents without changing what human visitors see.

Best for
Marketing and growth teams, and agencies, who want to see how their brand appears in AI answers from ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity, and fix pages AI models struggle to read.

What it does

Scrunch AI tracks how your brand shows up in answers from AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini and Copilot. You give it the prompts your buyers might ask, and it reports whether you are mentioned, where you rank, how you are described and which sources the answer cites.

It also has a second half. Its Agent Experience Platform, with Agent Pages, serves a lightweight machine-readable version of your site to AI agents, without changing what human visitors see. Add agent traffic analysis and site optimisation advice, and you get a view from both sides: what AI says about you and what AI can read on your site.

Why you would need it

Buyers now ask an assistant for a shortlist before they ever open a search result. If your brand is not in that answer, you will not see the loss in your rankings, because classic rank tracking does not measure it.

Scrunch gives you a number for something that was invisible. You see which prompts you win, which competitors are named instead and which of your pages fail to be read. That turns a vague worry into a work list.

Where it fits

Scrunch sits next to your SEO and analytics tools. Semrush and Ahrefs cover classic search, Scrunch covers the AI answer layer. It does not replace your CMS. Agent Pages sit in front of your existing site.

It competes with other AI visibility tools in the library, such as Semrush AI Toolkit, Ahrefs Brand Radar, Otterly.AI, Peec AI and Profound.

What stands out

  • Monitoring plus action. Many tools in this category only report. Scrunch also recommends fixes and can serve a cleaner version of the page to AI agents.
  • Agent traffic. You can import crawl logs and see which AI crawlers visit your site and which pages they read.
  • An API and an official MCP server. The developer docs describe a REST API and an MCP server, so you can query your data from an assistant.
  • Support for agencies. The vendor has a use case page for agencies and a separate pricing tab for them.

My take

AI visibility is an early category, and the numbers move around because AI answers vary from run to run. I'd treat any score as a trend, not as a ranking you can promise a client.

What I like about Scrunch is the Agent Pages idea. It is a concrete step you can take, not another dashboard. What I'd check is how much of the value you can capture with your own site work. If your content is clear and well structured, you may already get most of it.

Verdict

Pick Scrunch when AI answers matter to your pipeline and you want monitoring plus a way to act on it, or when you serve clients who ask about it. Skip it when you are only curious. A cheaper add-on to a tool you already use will do for a first look.

Before you choose

Early category, noisy data

AI answers differ between runs, models and locations. Tracking a fixed set of prompts over time is the only fair way to read the numbers. Ask how often Scrunch re-runs prompts and how it handles variation.

Entry limits on prompts and audits

Plans are limited by prompts, personas, user licences and page audits. A brand that covers many topics or markets can reach them quickly. Count the prompts you actually need before you compare plans.

Agent Pages change what AI sees

Serving a separate version of your pages to AI agents is a real decision. Check it with your SEO and legal people, and test that the agent version is accurate and matches what humans see.

Alternatives to compare

If you already pay for Semrush, its AI Toolkit may be enough. Ahrefs Brand Radar, Otterly.AI, Peec AI and Profound are the other names to put side by side.
