A cycle is a twelve-week planning period, counted from the company's own start date rather than from a quarter boundary.

Phases

A cycle is closed when it has a close time or its end date has passed, upcoming when its start date is in the future, and current otherwise.

What belongs to a cycle

An objective belongs to a cycle, and its key results and initiatives are read in that cycle. A cycle can carry a three-year vision and the reason for the goal.

At risk

A key result is at risk when its progress is behind the share of the cycle that has passed, or when its confidence is 2 out of 5 or lower. A closed key result is never at risk.
