Work is one tree of records. The kinds below are the ones you will meet; each has a number inside its workspace (see codes and addresses).
Kinds of work

| Objective | An outcome a cycle commits to. |
| Key result | The measurable result that says an objective was reached. It has a baseline, a target and a check-in value, and its progress runs from baseline to target. |
| Initiative | Gathers tasks and other work toward a key result. |
| Deliverable | A thing handed over to a client or the team. |
| Task | A piece of work somebody or an agent does. A task an agent or the app proposed starts as proposed until somebody decides. |
| Request | Something somebody asked for that is not yet planned. |
An objective has key results; initiatives hang under an objective or a key result; deliverables sit under initiatives; tasks do the work.
Decisions
A decision is a question, who decides it, how it is answered and where it stands. It is open until decided; once decided it is not edited. A change of mind is a new decision that points back to the one it replaces, and an earlier decision can move to superseded or reverted. Decisions are never deleted.
