A workspace is the unit everything belongs to: one business, its people, its records and its settings. Nothing is shared between workspaces unless a person is a member of both.
Name and address
A workspace has a name as an address, called its slug: guardey, solid-growth. A slug is 2 to 40 characters of lowercase letters, digits and single hyphens, unique, and never a word the app uses as a route. Records live under it: /{workspace}/deliverables, /{workspace}/contacts/7.
Renaming
An owner or admin can change the slug. The old name is kept: nobody else may take it, and an old link answers with a redirect to the current name, but only for someone who can read the workspace.
Membership
A person is a member with one of five roles (guest, viewer, member, admin, owner). See Authentication. A person can be a member of several workspaces and switches between them in the app.
How a record opens
Each workspace chooses how a click on a row opens a record: in a side panel, in the centre of the screen or on its own page.
