MCP server

What it is
Hosted official server, but per region (US https://mcp.mixpanel.com/mcp, EU https://mcp-eu.mixpanel.com/mcp, IN https://mcp-in.mixpanel.com/mcp), so no single fixed URL. Docs.mixpanel.com/docs/mcp (previous server_url) is a docs page, not an endpoint. REST auth documented as Service Accounts and Project Tokens; OAuth is documented only for the MCP server, so REST is not oauth2.

How to automate Mixpanel

Native integrations

Mixpanel ingests data from tools such as Segment, RudderStack, Google Tag Manager, Customer.io, Shopify, Stripe, Google Sheets, Amazon S3 and Kafka, plus ad spend and mobile attribution sources. On the way out it offers Cohort Sync, data pipelines and real-time event streams. An idea: sync a cohort of users who stalled in onboarding to your ad or email tool and re-engage them.

API and webhooks

Mixpanel has documented APIs for sending and reading data. Use them to send events from your backend, for example payment events your front end never sees. An idea: send a subscription cancelled event from your billing system, so churn shows up next to product usage.

MCP server

Mixpanel provides a hosted MCP server. It lets an assistant run insights, funnels, flows and retention queries, build and manage dashboards, and clean up Lexicon. An idea: ask every Monday which funnel step lost the most users last week and have the assistant draft a dashboard for it.

No-code automation

Zapier has a Mixpanel app with actions to track an event and to create or update a profile. See Zapier. An idea: when a form submission or a CRM stage change happens, send it to Mixpanel as an event so non-product behaviour sits in the same user timeline.
