Native integrations

API and webhooks

Intercom has a developer platform with a REST API and webhooks. One concrete idea: send a webhook when a conversation is closed with a negative rating, and create a follow-up task in your CRM.

MCP server

Intercom hosts an official MCP server at mcp.intercom.com/mcp, with an EU endpoint as well. It has 14 tools and is mostly read-only: search conversations, contacts, companies and articles. It can create and update help centre articles and add internal notes. It uses OAuth or a bearer token. One concrete idea: ask an AI assistant to find the most common unresolved topics this week and draft a help article for each.
