Key integrations
On this pageWhat it is
What it is
This feature lists the other tools a project management product connects to directly, such as calendars, file storage, chat apps, code repositories or accounting software. A native integration is one the vendor builds and supports, as opposed to a link you build yourself through a connector service. The list shows how well the tool will fit into the systems your team already uses.
Why it matters
A project tool that does not connect to your other software creates double entry and gaps. If tasks live in one place and files, conversations or invoices live in others, someone has to carry information between them. This matters when your work already runs on a set of established tools. A long list is not automatically better, though. What counts is that the tools you use today are on it, and that the connection does what you need.
What to check
- Check that your own calendar, file storage and chat tools are listed by name.
- Ask whether each integration is built by the vendor or by a third party.
- Find out what the integration actually does, such as syncing in one direction or both.
- Ask whether integrations are limited to higher plans.
