Inline page feedback

What it is
Inline page feedback is a commenting layer inside the page builder. A reviewer opens the draft, clicks on the exact headline, image or button they want changed, and types a note that stays pinned to that spot. The person building the page sees the notes in context, makes the change and marks each comment as resolved. Instapage is an example of a tool that includes it.
It works much like comments in a shared document, applied to a live page design.
Why it matters
Landing pages often pass through several people before launch: a marketer, a designer, a salesperson and sometimes a client who needs to approve. Without comments in the tool, feedback arrives as screenshots, emails and chat messages, and details get lost or contradict each other. Pinned comments keep one clear list of what is still open.
It matters most for agencies and for teams where non-designers have an opinion on the page. If one person builds and approves every page, you can do without it.
What to check
- Can reviewers comment without paying for a full seat, or without creating an account.
- Are comments tied to a specific element and to a specific version of the page.
- Can comments be assigned, resolved and reopened, and is there a record of who said what.
- Do reviewers get notified when something changes, or must someone chase them.
