Ad platforms

What it is
This feature lists the advertising platforms a tool works with. For paid social, the usual ones are Meta, which covers Facebook and Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, X and Pinterest, and many tools also connect to Google Ads. A platform's own ads manager works only with that platform. A third-party tool may connect to several and show them together.
Why it matters
Where you advertise should follow where your buyers spend time, and this list shows whether a tool fits that plan. A business that sells to professionals might mostly use LinkedIn, while one that sells to consumers might use Meta and TikTok. You should look closely at the list when you advertise on more than one platform and want to compare results in one place. If you use only one platform, its own ads manager may already do what you need.
Connecting to a platform can mean different things. A tool may only read data for reports on one platform but allow full campaign editing on another.
What to check
- Which platforms can you only report on, and which can you also create and edit campaigns on?
- Is the platform you plan to add next, such as TikTok or Pinterest, on the list?
- Are there extra costs or separate plans for each platform you connect?
- Does the data update in real time, or with a delay?
