BigMarker vs Webex Events

BigMarker logovsWebex Events logo
BigMarker and Webex Events both run webinars and hybrid events. BigMarker is browser-first for marketing and training teams. Webex Events is built for large conferences, especially inside Cisco and Webex.

The verdict

If your company already runs on Webex or Cisco and you organise hybrid conferences with several tracks, pick Webex Events. If your events are a marketing or education programme that mixes webinars, on-demand content and some in-person sessions, pick BigMarker.

For a small team, both may be more platform than you need. Ask each for a live demo and a written quote that reflects your attendee numbers, formats and events a year. Webex Events may be bundled in some Webex Suite agreements, so check yours. Confirm that your CRM is supported and how fields map before you commit.

Who each is for

BigMarker logo

Choose BigMarker if…

Pick BigMarker if you run a regular programme across live, on-demand and in-person formats and want one platform with CRM sync. It has registration pages, polls, Q&A, networking, lounges and mobile event apps, plus on-demand hubs for classes, assessments and certificates.

There is an API for listing, creating and editing events and for registering users. Plans are quoted, renew yearly and keep the more advanced features on enterprise tiers. It is not tied to a single vendor's ecosystem, which matters if you do not use Webex. If you host the odd webinar, look at something lighter.

Choose Webex Events if…

Pick Webex Events if you are an events or marketing team running conferences that mix in-person and virtual attendance, and your organisation already uses Webex or Cisco. It covers registration, ticketing, live streaming, Q&A, polls, attendee apps and reporting from one vendor.

It also runs automated webinars beside live sessions, so one tool can cover the flagship event and the smaller ones around it. It takes more setup than a webinar tool, and the strongest case is inside the Cisco ecosystem. Check the current feature list and what the public API covers. For a single online webinar, use something lighter.
