Chorus by ZoomInfo
Why Chorus by ZoomInfo
Chorus by ZoomInfo is a conversation intelligence platform that records, transcribes and analyses sales calls, meetings and emails to show what winning reps do and where each deal stands. It layers ZoomInfo's B2B contact and company data over every conversation to surface coaching opportunities and predict churn risk.
What it does
Chorus is ZoomInfo's conversation intelligence product. It records and transcribes your calls and meetings, then analyses them: what was said, how much each side talked, which competitors came up and what the buyer cared about. It also captures contacts and conversations and syncs them to your CRM.
It connects to Zoom automatically and works with Salesforce and other CRM systems. ZoomInfo's company and contact data sits next to each conversation.
Why you would need it
A sales manager cannot listen to every call. Without recordings, coaching depends on what reps report, and deal forecasts depend on what they remember. Important things said on calls, such as objections, budget and competitors, never reach the CRM.
The pain is felt at forecast time, when you doubt a deal and cannot tell what the buyer actually said.
Where it fits
Chorus sits between your video meetings and your CRM. Calls feed it. It feeds your CRM with activity and your coaching process with examples. It replaces a standalone call recorder and manual note taking. It sits beside ZoomInfo's prospecting data, which is the main reason to choose it.
If you do not use ZoomInfo, much of the advantage disappears. Gong is the obvious alternative.
What stands out
- Automatic recording, transcription and scorecards for coaching.
- Deal intelligence that shows momentum and relationships.
- Market and competitor mentions pulled from customer calls.
- Call snippets reps can share to learn from each other.
Who uses it day to day
Reps get their own calls back and can see where they talk too much or skip a step. Managers get a view across the team: which behaviours the best sellers share, which deals have gone quiet and which objections keep returning. Enablement and RevOps use the same recordings to build training material and to check whether the sales process is followed. Marketing and product can listen to the voice of the customer too, which is a good reason to open access beyond sales.
My take
Chorus makes sense when ZoomInfo is already your data source and you want one vendor for contact data and call insight. The coaching and deal views suit larger sales teams with managers who need visibility.
I would not pick it for a founder or a team of two or three sellers. It is more than they need. A lighter recorder will do the job for less effort, such as Fathom or Fireflies.
Verdict
Pick Chorus if you are a sales team on ZoomInfo and want coaching and deal insight from calls. Skip it if you are outside the ZoomInfo ecosystem or very small.

Tied to ZoomInfo
Chorus is presented as part of the wider ZoomInfo platform. That is a strength if you already use ZoomInfo and a lock-in risk if you want to switch data providers later. Think about the exit before you commit.
Check the alternatives
Gong is a well-known conversation intelligence tool. Lighter meeting recorders such as Fathom, Avoma and Fireflies cost less effort for smaller teams. Compare them on CRM sync, language support and who needs access.
Recording consent
Recording calls needs consent in many countries. Set up your announcements and retention rules before you roll it out, especially for calls with European customers.
