Builds landing pages with no code, tests variations and routes visitors based on performance.

Why Unbounce

A no-code platform for building landing pages with A/B testing and AI-driven visitor routing capabilities. Built for marketers and small teams who want to launch and test campaign pages without requiring designers or developers. Pages host directly on Unbounce and seamlessly connect to CRM systems and email marketing tools.

Best for
Lean B2B and e-commerce marketers and agencies who run paid campaigns and need to build, test and improve landing pages quickly without waiting for developers.

What it does

Unbounce is a landing page platform for marketers. You build pages with a drag-and-drop editor or from templates, publish them on Unbounce hosting, and send visitors to them from ads, email or social. Pages capture leads through forms and pass them to your CRM or email tool.

On top of the builder sit the conversion tools: A/B testing, dynamic text replacement that matches the page to the keyword someone searched, and Smart Traffic, which sends each visitor to the variant most likely to convert.

Why you would need it

You feel the pain when paid traffic goes to a page that was not built for it. Your site team is busy, each change takes a week, and the ad budget pays for clicks that land on a generic page. Conversion rate is the lever that makes the same budget produce more leads.

Unbounce gives marketers control. You launch a page for a campaign the same day, test a different headline the day after, and see which version wins.

Where it fits

Unbounce sits between your ads and your CRM. Traffic arrives from Google Ads or Meta Ads. Leads move on to HubSpot, Salesforce, Mailchimp or Klaviyo. It also lists Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Hotjar, Chili Piper and CallRail, and reaches thousands more apps through Zapier and webhooks.

It replaces ad-hoc pages on your main site, or a developer queue for campaign pages.

What stands out

  • The editor is built for marketers, with templates and custom code when you want more control.
  • A/B testing is built in, along with AI-driven traffic routing and reporting by attributes such as device and location.
  • An official MCP server, included with every plan, lets you build and manage pages from Claude or ChatGPT.
  • An API is available on all plans.

My take

I used Unbounce heavily back in 2016, when I was freelancing as a growth hacker for multiple clients. It was one of the fastest ways to launch landing pages without touching code, and it gave me full control over execution at a time when speed mattered more than polish. What stood out then, and still does, is how focused it is on marketers rather than designers or developers.

Today I build landing pages differently. I often work directly in Webflow or in frameworks where the landing page is part of the wider site. That gives more design control, but iteration is slower, especially when someone else has to make the edits. If I were running high-volume experiments again, or needed campaign pages live fast, Unbounce would still be a top pick.

Verdict

Pick Unbounce if paid campaigns are serious and speed, autonomy and testing volume matter most. Skip it if your landing pages are part of a broader site you design in a tool like Webflow, or if you spend little on traffic.

Before you choose

Testing sits on higher plans

A/B testing starts on the "Experiment" plan, and Smart Traffic starts on the "Optimize" plan. The entry plans are for launching pages, with limits on pages, visitors and domains. Pick the plan for the testing you need, not just the page count.

Traffic and page limits

Plans have limits on the number of landing pages and on visitor volume, so cost grows as your campaigns do. Check the limits against your expected traffic, and ask what happens when you go over.

Another platform to maintain

Pages hosted on Unbounce are separate from your main site. That means a second editor, a second design system and the work of keeping brand elements in sync. If your site team prefers one stack, compare Webflow or Framer.

Compare the alternatives

Instapage and Leadpages are the closest competitors, and Webflow gives more design freedom. Unbounce makes most sense when paid advertising is serious and conversion rate directly affects profit, and it is also unavailable in some locations, so check yours.
