MCP server

https://mcp.privy.com/mcp/Source
What it is
Official vendor MCP server (documented at https://help.privy.com/docs/learn/mcp). All tools are read-only (campaigns, contacts, coupons, displays, flows, orders, segments, store products). Requires a paid Privy plan and an MCP client supporting remote MCP with OAuth; connects via browser login to the Privy dashboard (no API token needed). Works with ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Cursor. Note: this is privy.com (email/SMS/popups marketing platform) — a separate company, Privy.io (Web3 wallet infrastructure), ships its own unrelated MCP server at github.com/privy-io/privy-mcp-server.

How to automate Privy

Native integrations

Privy syncs collected contacts to Shopify, BigCommerce and Wix, and to selected third-party tools such as Klaviyo. Connect your store first so orders and products are available for flows.

Automation idea: set a flow that sends a welcome email to a pop-up signup and a text reminder two days later if they have not bought.

API and webhooks

Privy has a documented API with OAuth 2.0 and API tokens, covering contacts, order events and custom events. It also supports webhooks that send signup and order events to Slack or a custom endpoint.

Automation idea: send a custom event from your quiz tool to Privy when someone finishes it, and trigger a flow with product picks based on the answers.

MCP server

Privy publishes an MCP server that connects ChatGPT or Claude to your account. You can ask which displays brought the most subscribers, how many contacts you can reach by email or SMS, and how flows compare over time.

Automation idea: ask your assistant every month to compare flow performance with the previous month and to name the one flow worth improving first.

No-code automation

There is a documented Zapier connection for creating and updating contacts from other apps. Use it to add leads from a form or event tool.

Automation idea: when someone registers for a webinar, a Zap adds them to Privy with a tag so they receive the follow-up sequence.
