Jotform
Why Jotform
Jotform is a form and survey builder for teams that need to collect data, registrations and applications without writing code. Its drag-and-drop interface and AI-generated forms let you create quickly, with conditional logic, payment collection and integration with over 150 other tools. Use it for lead capture, feedback surveys and order forms.
What it does
Jotform is an online form and survey builder that needs no code. You start from a template, describe the form to its AI, or import one from a file or a URL. Forms can use conditional logic, take payments, carry your logo and fonts and trigger simple workflows when someone submits. It lists over 150 integrations with CRMs, email tools, project tools and cloud storage.
Why you would need it
You need it when information arrives by email, phone or paper and somebody retypes it. The pain shows up with applications, orders and event registrations, where data is missing, forms are scattered and nobody knows what was approved.
A form gives you structured data in one place. What changes is that a submission can start the next step: a payment, an approval, a row in a sheet or a contact in your CRM.
Where it fits
Jotform sits at the front of your data flow. Your website, emails and links feed it. Submissions flow to your CRM, email tool or a spreadsheet, for instance HubSpot or Google Sheets.
It replaces hand-built forms, paper intake and email attachments. It sits beside your website builder and does not replace it. Alternatives include Typeform, Tally, Fillout and Google Forms.
What stands out
- Many ways to create a form. AI from a prompt, a voice note, a file or a URL, or a template.
- Payments inside the form. Products, fees and donations can be collected without another tool.
- Conditional logic and workflows. Forms change as people answer and trigger steps afterwards.
- A free plan. Starter lets you test it with real forms.
- An official MCP server. AI assistants can work with forms and submissions.
My take
I would pick Jotform when the job is many forms with real processing behind them: payments, approvals or regulated data. The range of fields and templates is wide. The builder can feel busy when you need only one clean lead form, and a lighter tool will give you a nicer result with less clutter.
Submission limits decide the plan, and the free plan caps them. Count your expected monthly submissions first.
Verdict
Pick Jotform when you run several forms with payments, approvals or sensitive data. Skip it when you need one clean lead form, where a lighter builder is simpler.

Notes
Your note
Before you choose
Submissions decide your plan
Plans limit forms and monthly submissions. The free Starter plan has low caps, and higher tiers raise them. Estimate how many submissions you get in a busy month before choosing a tier.

Paid tiers are single user
Team use costs more, because multi-user governance sits in the Enterprise plan. If several colleagues need to edit forms, check how that works for you.
Sensitive data
Jotform supports HIPAA-compatible use on higher plans. If you collect health or other regulated data, check the plan, the agreement and where data is stored before you build.
The builder can feel busy
There is a lot of choice. For a simple lead form, compare Tally, Fillout and Typeform. Typeform is stronger on one-question-at-a-time design.
