For a brochure site, a portfolio or a consultancy site where design matters, I'd pick Squarespace. I picked it for my dad's site because it took only a few hours to get a polished site live, and editing was easy. For a business that needs bookings, a shop and a quick start on a budget, I'd pick Wix, and the free plan lets you try before paying. Both lock you in, and moving off means a rebuild. If you care about every page-speed point or want to reshape layouts, look at Webflow instead.
