Framer vs Webflow

Framer logovsWebflow logo
Framer is the faster, easier route to a designed marketing site. Webflow takes longer to learn but gives more control and a stronger CMS. For most B2B teams I'd pick Webflow.

The verdict

For a modern B2B marketing site that you will keep growing, I'd pick Webflow. Every B2B site I manage runs on it today. The CMS copes with content marketing, I can build campaign landing pages in hours and colleagues can edit copy safely in Editor mode.

I'd pick Framer when a designer wants to ship quickly, the site is small to mid-sized and nobody wants a learning curve. It looks good out of the box, and it is simpler to start.

The pricing is where both can sting. Webflow has site plans and workspace plans, which makes budgeting fiddly. Framer charges per site and for extra editors. Count your pages, editors and CMS items before you compare.

Both lock you in, so a later move means rebuilding.

Who each is for

Framer logo

Choose Framer if…

Pick Framer when design quality matters, the site owners are designers or marketers, and you want to publish fast. It is quick to learn and its output looks good.

The AI design agent works on the real canvas, so you can inspect and edit its changes. A CMS agent sets up collections for blogs and case studies, and React code components and a Server API cover custom needs.

Plan for limits. Pages, CMS collections and bandwidth depend on the plan, localisation and A/B testing are add-ons, and a Framer site cannot be exported and run elsewhere. It is a marketing tool, so a big catalogue or deep back-end logic belongs elsewhere.

Webflow logo

Choose Webflow if…

Pick Webflow when you are a marketing team, designer or agency that wants a custom-looking B2B site you can change quickly, and you will climb the learning curve. I first picked it up in 2020 to build my own site. The early weeks were rough, but once the concepts clicked I could build what I had in mind.

It gives you clean code, a CMS for blogs and resource libraries, Editor mode for safe copy changes, and an official MCP server and Data API.

The costs are time and complexity. Site plans and workspace plans make budgets fiddly, the Designer lags on very big pages and a marketer without design training will need support. Ecommerce suits small shops only.
