For a small B2B team that runs webinars and product demos, pick Demio. It is built for exactly that, the setup is quick, and the engagement data is useful to sales on day one.
If you run a real event programme, with several tracks, a mix of in-person and online guests and a need to prove results to the business, pick Webex Events. This is especially true if your company already runs on Webex or Cisco and wants one vendor.
I'd pick Demio for most readers of this site. Webex Events does not publish prices, so expect a sales conversation and a written quote. That is more platform and more process than a webinar needs.

Choose Demio if…
Pick Webex Events if the event is a programme. Think of a conference with several tracks, a venue, remote attendees and sponsors, where registration, streaming, the app and the results would otherwise sit in four different tools.
It is strongest inside the Cisco family. If your company already runs Webex, the single vendor is the main draw.
Be ready for a longer buying process. There is no public price, and it may be sold as part of select Webex Suite enterprise agreements. Ask for a live demo and a written quote, and check the current feature list. For a single online webinar I would use something lighter.
Choose Webex Events if…
Pick Demio if you are a marketing or sales team running lead-generation webinars or product demos. You want to see who engaged, then pass that to the CRM.
It works best as a recurring format: run a webinar live a few times, then turn the strongest session into an automated one. It does not need an event team.
Demio is the wrong tool for a hybrid conference. It has no in-person side, and capacity and host limits sit on the plans, with the higher tiers priced per host. Ask for a figure for the number of hosts and attendees you really need before you commit.
