Native integrations

PowerPoint works with OneDrive and SharePoint, and Office Add-ins let other tools insert content or diagrams into a deck. Some AI deck builders export to PowerPoint format, which makes it a handoff point.

Automation idea: generate a first-draft deck in an AI tool such as Gamma, export it, and finish it on your company master template.

API and webhooks

PowerPoint add-ins use a JavaScript API to work with a presentation, for example to add a slide, move between slides or read the selected slides. The add-in platform supports task pane add-ins and content add-ins on Windows, Mac, iPad and the browser.

Automation idea: build a small add-in that inserts the latest pipeline numbers from your CRM into a standard sales review deck.

No-code automation

Presentation files stored in OneDrive or SharePoint can be handled through Power Automate flows, for example to copy, move or share files when something happens. Check which PowerPoint-specific actions your plan supports before you plan a flow around them.

Automation idea: when a deal reaches the proposal stage, copy your master deck to the customer's folder and share the link with the owner.
