The number of languages the tool can write in or understand, shown as a count, so you can check that your market languages are covered.
On this pageWhat it is
What it is
This feature records how many languages the tool supports for writing or processing text. The figure is a count, and it says nothing about quality. A tool may list dozens of languages but produce its best work in English, with weaker grammar, tone or spelling in smaller languages such as Dutch or Swedish. Some tools support a language for the output but not for the interface or the settings.
Why it matters
If you sell in more than one country, or in a country where English is not the main language, language coverage decides whether the tool is usable. A long list matters less than whether your own languages are covered well. A business that only writes in English can ignore the count.
What to check
- Check that every language you need is on the list, not just that the total is high.
- Write a real brief in each of your languages in a trial and have a native speaker read the result.
- Ask whether features such as tone, brand voice and SEO scoring work in every language, or only in English.
- Find out whether the interface and support are available in your language.
