Real-time collaboration
Edit the same file with several people at once, see each other's changes as they happen, and leave comments.

What it is
Real-time collaboration lets two or more people work in the same file at the same moment. Each person sees changes appear as they are made, usually with a coloured cursor and a name, and can leave comments or mention a colleague. Canva, Gamma, Beautiful.ai and Plus AI offer this for presentations and designs, similar to the way shared documents work.
Why it matters
Sending files back and forth creates multiple versions and confusion about which one is current. Working in the same file speeds up reviews and lets a team finish a deck together before a meeting. It matters when several people contribute to the same material. If you work alone, you will not notice it, though a comment feature may still help with client feedback.
What to check
- How many people can edit at the same time, and is there a limit per plan.
- Can you invite people outside your team, such as clients, and what can they do.
- Are there comments, version history and a way to restore an earlier version.
- Do guests need a paid seat.
