Make on-brand presentation decks with AI and smart layouts that adjust as you edit them.

Why Beautiful.ai

An AI presentation maker that generates decks from prompts and text outlines, then automatically adjusts layouts, spacing and hierarchy as you edit. It includes brand controls and shared team libraries for consistency. Perfect for founders, sales teams and marketers who build decks regularly without a dedicated in-house designer.

Best for
Founders, consultants, agencies and sales or marketing teams that build decks often, have no in-house designer and want every deck on brand without checking each slide.

What it does

Beautiful.ai is a presentation maker built around Smart Slides. These are layouts that realign spacing, alignment and hierarchy as you add or change content. You can start from a blank deck, a template, or an AI draft built from a prompt or an outline.

The vendor offers more than 300 Smart Slide layouts, data-linked charts, animations, voice-overs, and export to PDF and PowerPoint.

Why you would need it

You feel the pain when decks eat your time and still look uneven. Someone nudges a text box, another person pastes a slide from an old deck, and the final version has three fonts and two logo sizes. Sales and pitch decks go out under your name, so this matters.

Beautiful.ai puts the design rules in the layout. You add the content, and the slide keeps itself tidy. Brand colours, fonts and logos are set once in a theme and shared across the team.

Where it fits

It replaces PowerPoint or Google Slides as the place where sales, pitch and report decks get made. Its PowerPoint add-in and file export keep it usable with clients who still send files. It also connects to cloud storage and brand asset tools: Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, OneDrive, Bynder and Frontify. Chart slides can link to Airtable and Smartsheet, so figures update when the data does.

It sits beside your CRM and content tools. Viewer analytics show who opened a shared deck and which slides they read.

What stands out

  • An AI workflow that lets you review and edit a slide-by-slide outline before it generates the deck.
  • Locked themes and shared template libraries that hold the brand across a team.
  • Data-linked slides, so a chart stays current without retyping.
  • Sharing with permissions, view tracking and voice-overs for people who could not join the call.
  • A documented API for creating decks from a prompt or a template.

My take

I would pick Beautiful.ai for a team that makes many similar decks, such as sales proposals or investor updates, and wants the result on brand by default. The lack of freedom is the price. Smart layouts keep things tidy, and they also limit fine control over where things sit.

I would also check how well your existing decks import. On the trial, bring a real deck, not a demo. If your clients insist on native PowerPoint files, the add-in helps, but you will still be working in a different editor.

Verdict

Pick Beautiful.ai if your team builds many sales or pitch decks and wants them on brand with little design effort. Skip it if you need pixel-level control, or if every deck must stay a native PowerPoint file.

Before you choose

Less control over layout

Smart Slides decide spacing and alignment. That is the point, but designers and anyone with a strong layout opinion may find it limiting. Test a slide you would normally tweak by hand.

No free plan

There is a free trial of Pro or Team, and free plans exist only for students. Pro suits one person. The Team plan is priced per user, so costs rise with every person who builds decks. Count the people who will edit, as opposed to people who only view.

Importing existing decks

Moving a library of old decks takes work. During the trial, import three real decks and see what breaks: fonts, charts, animations and custom shapes. Compare against Gamma, Canva and Plus AI, which take different approaches to AI decks.

A new editor to learn

Your team has to learn another tool. Decide who owns the theme and the template library, so decks stay consistent after the first month.
