What it is
Bulk upload lets you prepare a month of posts in a spreadsheet, with columns for text, date, time and image links, and load them into the tool in one go. You then review the results and fix anything that did not import. Buffer, Hootsuite, Later, Publer and SocialPilot are among the tools that list it.
Why it matters
Creating posts one by one is slow when you manage many accounts or have a long campaign. A spreadsheet is also easy to share with colleagues or clients for review before anything goes live. It matters for agencies, businesses with several locations and anyone running a content calendar. If you post a few times a week, a normal scheduler is quicker.
What to check
- How many posts can one upload include.
- Does the import support images and video, or only text.
- Does it flag rows with errors, such as a date in the past, before scheduling them.
- Is there a template to download, and does it include network-specific fields.
