Plausible Analytics vs Spectacle

Plausible Analytics logovsSpectacle logo
Plausible shows traffic and conversions on one simple page. Spectacle ties ad spend and visits to CRM pipeline and revenue for B2B SaaS. Start with Plausible, then add Spectacle when budget needs proof.

The verdict

For most small teams, I'd pick Plausible first. It is easy enough that everyone reads it, and it answers where traffic comes from. It is the right tool until you can no longer say which campaign created customers.

I'd pick Spectacle when you are B2B SaaS, product-led or long-funnel, spend real money on paid channels, and finance wants numbers it will accept. They are not alternatives so much as steps. Spectacle does not replace your CRM or web analytics, and its output is only as good as your deal stages and tagging. If your CRM is messy or the sale closes in a day, a simpler set-up is enough.

Who each is for

Plausible Analytics logo

Choose Plausible Analytics if…

Pick Plausible if you want clear traffic numbers, privacy-friendly tracking and no cookie banner. It suits small marketing teams, SaaS companies and agencies that want the whole team to read the dashboard.

It tracks goals, UTM campaigns, scroll depth and downloads, and higher plans add funnels and revenue attribution. It does not connect to your CRM deals, and it has no ad platform features. Pricing follows pageviews. You can self-host the open-source version, but that means managing the server yourself. There is a Stats API and no MCP server.

Spectacle logo

Choose Spectacle if…

Pick Spectacle if you spend on Google, Meta or LinkedIn and your deals take months to close. It connects ad platforms, your CRM and Stripe, and lets you compare linear, first touch, last touch and U-shaped models side by side.

I tested Spectacle as an alpha user, and the product has been fully built out since. It also offers LinkedIn company attribution and audience syncs back to ad platforms. Plan the first week for tracking and mapping deal stages. Plans are banded by tracked ad spend, and there is a 14-day trial without a card. It is a Dutch company, based in Utrecht.
