Google Analytics vs Leadinfo

Google Analytics logovsLeadinfo logo
Google Analytics counts anonymous traffic and conversions for free. Leadinfo names the companies behind visits so sales can follow up. Most B2B teams need the first and add the second when sales will act.

The verdict

Start with Google Analytics, or a lighter alternative. You need to know which channels and pages work before you chase individual companies, and it costs nothing. If you run Google Ads and Search Console, the integration is the reason to pick it over anything else.

Add Leadinfo when you have a B2B site with steady traffic and a sales process that can follow up within hours. It pays back when someone acts on the alerts. It will not help a consumer site, and it does not follow a visitor into your sales process on its own, so connect it to your CRM. If your traffic is low or nobody will follow up, skip it and spend the effort elsewhere.

Who each is for

Choose Google Analytics if…

Pick Leadinfo if you run a B2B site in Europe with steady traffic and want to see which companies visit. It suits sales and marketing teams that pass the right ones to the CRM quickly, with alerts to Slack and lead scoring on top.

I have used Leadinfo for lots of clients, and my previous B2B agency was a partner. The caveat is coverage. It identifies the business, not always the person, and a large share of visits stays anonymous, especially small firms and home workers. Use the trial to count identified companies against your own traffic before you buy. There is no free plan.

Choose Leadinfo if…

Pick Google Analytics if you are a founder or marketer who needs free, broad measurement across website and app traffic. It suits teams already on Google Ads and Search Console, and it gives beginners a start with room to grow.

Expect a learning curve with event-based tracking, and plan a proper set-up of conversions. On large data you may see sampling and throttling, and funnels are basic next to a product analytics tool. It also has gaps from ad blockers and privacy browsers, so treat trends as more reliable than exact counts. There is a public API and a read-only official MCP server.
