Native integrations

Canva has an app marketplace and connects to the tools where designs end up, such as social schedulers and cloud storage. The product also offers social scheduling itself. Check the marketplace for the tool you use for publishing before you design a workflow around it.

API and webhooks

Canva has a developer platform with the Connect API for building integrations. Use it when your own product or workflow needs to create or export designs. An idea: generate a branded social card for each new blog post.

MCP server

Canva has an official remote MCP server at mcp.canva.com. Through it an AI assistant can create designs from a description, edit existing ones, search your designs, manage brand kit assets, add comments and export to formats such as PDF, PNG and MP4. Connect it to Claude and ask for a first draft of a deck from your outline, then finish it in the editor.

No-code automation

Canva has bulk creation for building many designs from a data file. Check the app directories of Zapier and Make for a Canva app before you rely on one.
