How to automate RudderStack
Native integrations
RudderStack has sources for web, mobile and server SDKs, cloud apps and warehouses, and more than 200 destinations. Start with one source, your warehouse and one destination, such as your CRM or an ad platform. An idea: send the same sign-up event to your analytics tool, your CRM and your warehouse with one tracking call.
API and webhooks
RudderStack has an HTTP API, a webhook source for custom events, an HTTP webhook destination and a Rudder CLI that manages sources, transformations and SQL models as YAML files. Reverse ETL syncs can also be triggered through an API, for example from dbt Cloud when a job finishes. An idea: when a nightly dbt run completes, sync updated customer segments to your ad platform.
MCP server
RudderStack has an official MCP server that connects Claude, Cursor, Codex and other clients to your workspace. It is for debugging delivery errors, monitoring pipelines, writing and testing transformations and reviewing audit logs. An idea: ask Claude why events to one destination started failing this morning.
Built-in automation
Transformations change or drop events in flight, and reverse ETL syncs run on a schedule. RudderAI also monitors and debugs pipelines from Slack. An idea: mask personal data in a transformation before events reach a third-party tool.
