Group events with multiple attendees
One scheduled time slot can be booked by several separate attendees up to a seat limit, such as a workshop or demo session.

What it is
Group events with multiple attendees let one time slot be booked by several different people, up to a limit you set. Each person books on their own, usually without seeing who else has joined. It works for webinars, workshops, training sessions and group demos. Cal.com, Calendly and SavvyCal are tools that offer it.
Why it matters
Without it, a slot is taken by the first person, and you would need to run the same session over and over. With seats, you hold the session once and fill it. It suits businesses that teach, run onboarding sessions or hold regular open demos. It does not replace a full event platform, since ticketing, payments and detailed attendee management may be missing. For one-to-one work, you can ignore it.
What to check
- Ask how the seat limit works and whether there is a waiting list when the session is full.
- Check whether attendees can see each other's names or email addresses.
- Find out whether reminders and a cancellation option are sent to each attendee.
- Confirm whether payment can be taken for a seat if you charge for sessions.
