Lemon Squeezy vs Revolut Pro

Lemon Squeezy logovsRevolut Pro logo
Lemon Squeezy lets you sell digital products worldwide with the tax handled. Revolut Pro is a free business account for freelancers with payment links and invoices. One is a checkout, the other is where money lands.

The verdict

If you sell software or digital products to people in many countries, I'd pick Lemon Squeezy, because the tax handling is the hard part of selling abroad. If you are a freelancer or sole trader who invoices clients and wants business money kept apart from personal money, I'd pick Revolut Pro.

These can be used together. Revolut Pro would be where the payouts arrive. I would not expect Revolut Pro to handle tax for you, and Lemon Squeezy is not a bank account. Also read what Stripe's ownership of Lemon Squeezy means for the product before you build on it.

Who each is for

Lemon Squeezy logo

Choose Lemon Squeezy if…

Pick Lemon Squeezy if you are an indie developer, small SaaS team or creator selling digital goods. You get checkout links, subscriptions with trials and upgrades, licence keys, secure downloads and discount codes, with sales tax handled as merchant of record.

There is no monthly fee for the store. You pay a fee on each sale, which includes the tax work. It does not suit physical goods. The vendor's blog lists Stripe acquiring it and a 2026 post about Stripe Managed Payments, so read that before you commit.

Revolut Pro logo

Choose Revolut Pro if…

Pick Revolut Pro if you are a freelancer, sole trader or side-hustler without a registered company who wants a free, separate business account. Setup happens in an app you may already use, and you can send payment links and invoices in minutes.

It does not handle tax as a merchant of record. Card payments carry processing fees, higher for international and commercial cards, and features vary by market. It is a money app, not a bookkeeping tool, so check how statements reach your accountant. If you incorporate, the vendor points you to Revolut Business.
