LearnWorlds vs Teachable

LearnWorlds logovsTeachable logo
LearnWorlds is a white-label academy with interactive video and its own branded school site. Teachable is a hosted platform that handles payments and tax and adds coaching, downloads and memberships.

The verdict

If the course is the business and you want to own the look and the learner experience, I'd pick LearnWorlds. If you want to sell courses, coaching and downloads internationally and have payment and tax handled for you, pick Teachable. Both put limits behind plans. LearnWorlds charges a fee on each paid enrolment on its entry plan, and API access and webhooks sit on the third plan and above. Teachable's entry plan carries a transaction fee, and its API and webhooks need the Growth plan. Its MCP server is in early access. Work out which limits hit you before you pay.

Who each is for

LearnWorlds logo

Choose LearnWorlds if…

Pick Teachable if you are an expert, creator or small business selling courses, coaching and downloads to an audience in several countries. Having payment methods and tax dealt with lets you spend your time on content. Coaching and memberships on the same platform help when your offer grows past one course. Product limits on lower plans mean a growing catalogue pushes you up a plan. Skip it if you want a white-label site or full control of the design, or if you want to start on a free plan, because there is none.

Teachable logo

Choose Teachable if…

Pick LearnWorlds if you are a course creator or training provider who wants a branded academy with checkout, community and reporting. It also suits you if you deliver programmes for several client organisations, or want interactive video and SCORM support. Iron out the plan before you commit. Learner caps, admin seats and branding differ between plans, and the vendor shows prices without VAT. Use the 30-day trial to build one real course and take a test payment. Skip it for a single, low-volume course, which does not need this much platform.
