About Usability testing
You cannot know what your product feels like to someone who has never seen it before. The only way to find out is to watch them try it. Usability testing is how you see what is confusing, what takes too long, and what makes people want to buy. For early-stage founders, testing does not mean elaborate research studies; it means watching five people try your sign-up flow and noting where they hesitate. This section covers how to run user research that actually moves product decisions, from recruiting testers to asking questions that uncover the truth instead of confirming what you already think. Start here before you invest in a feature you think the market wants.

How we rank
Every tool in a category is ranked by the same rule, worked out from the data we hold, not by who pays us. In order:
- How many of the category's shared features it has.
- Whether there is a free plan to start on.
- How open it is to AI: an API and an MCP server.
- Whether its pricing is public.
- Name, A to Z, when all else is equal.
When we add a tool or learn more about one, the ranking updates by itself.
