Pipedream vs Process Street

Pipedream logovsProcess Street logo
Pipedream is now an integration layer for developers building AI agents, and its Workflows product is closing. Process Street suits teams that run checklists and procedures.

The verdict

For most small B2B teams, I'd pick Process Street, because it solves a problem they actually have: the same procedure done differently each time. Pick Pipedream only if you have engineers and you are building an agent or product where each customer connects their own accounts. I would not start a new automation project on Pipedream's old Workflows product. If you want a workflow tool, look at Zapier, Make or n8n instead. Process Street has no free plan, while Pipedream development is free and production use needs a paid plan.

Who each is for

Choose Pipedream if…

Pick Pipedream if you are a developer building an agent that posts to Slack, reads Gmail and updates a CRM for each customer. Registering OAuth apps, storing and refreshing tokens and handling permissions per user is weeks of plumbing, and Connect takes it over. It is an SDK, an API and an MCP endpoint, so you need engineers. Check how pricing follows your connected users, and read the security docs, since your customers' tokens are stored by a third party.

Choose Process Street if…

Pick Process Street if you want your team to follow the same steps every time and to keep a record. It fits onboarding for clients and staff, delivery checklists and compliance routines, with approvals, forms and branching steps. No code is needed. I first used it in 2020 and liked how it went beyond static documentation. It has moved up-market since, towards audit logs and SSO, so a casual user building one checklist may find it more than they need.
