Automatic email prioritisation

What it is
Automatic email prioritisation means the tool learns which messages matter to you and which do not, then files the less important ones in a separate folder. You do not set up filters by hand. For example, SaneBox watches how you handle your mail and moves newsletters and automated notices out of your main inbox, so the messages from clients and colleagues stay visible.
Why it matters
A busy inbox hides the messages that need an answer today. Sorting by hand takes time, and rules you write yourself soon go out of date. Automatic sorting suits people who receive a lot of mail from many senders, such as owners, sales leads and account managers. It suits you less if you receive only a few messages a day, or if a missed email would be costly, because any automated sorting can occasionally file something important in the wrong place.
What to check
- Ask how the tool decides what is important and how you correct a wrong decision.
- Test whether you can see everything it moved, so nothing disappears unseen.
- Check whether it works on your existing mailbox or needs a new address.
- Ask whether it reads message content or only sender and header details.
