Introduction

Plans don’t fail because the strategy is wrong. They fail because no one looks at the metrics. That’s why I build a weekly growth scorecard into every cycle.

Here’s how it works:

Every Monday, the growth team meets for 30–45 minutes. You review:

  • Key metrics: traffic, leads, pipeline, revenue
  • What moved: what changed vs. last week?
  • What did we learn: from tests, campaigns, calls?
  • What are this week’s top priorities?

This keeps the plan honest. You don’t wait 90 days to see if it worked. You know every week whether things are trending up, stuck, or sliding.

I keep the scorecard simple. A Notion table. Google Sheet. No complex dashboards. Just a shared artefact that drives the conversation.

The point isn’t to hit every target perfectly. It’s to create visibility and accountability. When the numbers are in front of you every week, the team stays focused. You don’t get lost in busywork.

It also builds a culture of reflection. What did we learn from last week’s campaign? What surprised us? What’s the one thing that matters most this week?
